Average temperatures in Truro range from the 50s to about 70 in June and September, and around 60 to 80 in July and August. You’ll get some nice breezes at Bay View Pines, so evenings (or early morning) on the deck might be more comfortable with a sweater or light jacket (or a big fluffy bathrobe and a cup of coffee…).
WHAT’S PROVIDED
BEDROOMS: Mattress pads, pillows and comforters for all beds (guests must bring sheets and pillowcases).
BATHROOMS: First Aid Kit (please replace items used). One roll of toilet tissue to get you started. Hand soap.
KITCHEN: Fully stocked kitchen for all your vacation meals, a snack or drinks on the deck. Salt, pepper, spices, coffee grinder. Wok, lobster pot and accessories, electric griddle, hand mixer, food processor, crockpot, blender, toaster oven, toaster, more. Variety of pots, pans and serving items. Table settings for 12. Coffee filters and one roll of paper towels are provided.
Electric stove and oven, full-size refrigerator/freezer, double sink (with great Bay views!), full-size dishwasher. Plenty of dishware, glassware and cutlery for the whole group. Please give us a call or e-mail if you’re wondering about specific kitchen items.
WIRELESS INTERNET: Network is 63ocrtma. Password is taped to the modem in the Office Bedroom (upstairs). There’s a 48″ smart TV upstairs in the Office Bedroom, and it’s connected to Xfinity cable. The 32″ smart TV downstairs isn’t connected to the cable, but is, of course, available for streaming TV and movie services like Netflix or Amazon Prime or Hulu, as well as most console platforms. Bring your passwords. We’ve got lots of video cassettes and DVDs in our family-friendly video library, as well as VCRs and DVD players in two downstairs bedrooms and the upstairs Office Bedroom.
We have a medium sized Weber gas grill (about 18″x24″)on the second floor deck.
The big brown locker on the first floor deck contains odds and ends which might be useful when you go to the beach or use the kayak: snorkeling equipment, life jackets, foam noodles, beach chairs, pads and straps for car-mounting the kayak, etc. Please make sure that everything is clean and DRY before returning to the locker.
There is a washer and dryer downstairs, and a laundry chute in the upstairs bathroom. Dryer racks are also available, so go green on those warm, breezy days and let the sun do your drying (smells nice, too!). You’ll need to bring your own laundry detergent.
There’s also a second refrigerator downstairs (thanks to one of our guests for the suggestion!).
Coffee makers and drip cones upstairs and down (drip both places; Keurig upstairs); filters and Keurig reusable pods are provided. Take your freshly made coffee right out to the deck and enjoy the view. Coffee bean grinder.
There are a number of portable stereo units (radio, CD) throughout the house.
There’s air conditioning in all rooms. Please use wisely, and close all doors and windows, etc. Most rooms have big windows or sliders, and we’re up high enough to get a nice breeze off the Bay. There are many portable fans available throughout the house.
