This site is designed to be a resource for our guests at Bay View Pines, a five-bedroom, child- and pet-friendly rental house in South Truro, MA.  We hope you’ll find the answers to all your questions as you prepare for your vacation, and when you’re here enjoying the beaches, the views, the biking and hiking and the history and the seafood and everything else you expect from your vacation on Cape Cod.

Use the menu on the left (or in the ‘hamburger’ above, if you’re on your phone) to learn everything you’d like to know, or to contact us if you have further questions.

We are very happy to welcome you to Bay View Pines. We hope your vacation is relaxing and memorable, and to that end, we’ve been working on making it the perfect vacation house.

My wife (Abbey) and I (Gary) have been visiting Truro together since 1979, when we were married here, on a hill in the National Seashore, not far from Bay View Pines. Abbey’s family has been coming to Truro for vacation for five generations, and three other family members have houses here. We’re retired special educators who live in NY’s northern Catskill Mountains, and we bought Bay View Pines in December of 2015. We love having a beautiful place in Truro that we can enjoy in the fall, winter and spring, and then share with others during the summer.

We were looking for a house with a great view, close to the beach, with a lot of room for families to spread out and relax. We were very lucky to find this house at the right time, and we knew almost immediately that this was the one.

This house was built in the 1960s by a couple who lived here in the summers, and visited in the winters. We want you to feel at home here, and to return year after year.   Bay View Pines had never been a rental before 2016, so we’re looking for your thoughts and opinions about how to make it an even better place for you to stay. We’ll ask you to let us know what projects you think are most important for making Bay View Pines your home in Truro in the future.

We have a number of projects planned, and many more completed – see below. If you think the house needs a particular project or two to make it a much better place to spend your vacation, please let us know!

(By the way – we’re much better at providing families with memorable vacations than we are at creating websites!  Please forgive the formatting and font funkiness throughout the site – we’re working on it…)
